Greyson Beights is an author, entrepreneur, and historian.
He was homeschooled and took his first college class at 11 years old. Greyson graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in History. He is currently undertaking graduate studies in history at the University of Edinburgh.
When he was 13 years old, Greyson became increasingly concerned about the next generation's literacy in the study of history. He wanted to teach history to kids in a way that they would find interesting and fun. With the help of some of the world's best medieval scholars and LEGO builders, Greyson published Medieval LEGO -a book that teaches the real-life history of medieval times through LEGO illustrations. Medieval LEGO can be found in Barnes & Nobles, Books-A-Million, and on Amazon.com.
When Greyson was 14 years old, he started BrickUniverse LEGO Conventions. The first event was held in Raleigh, North Carolina and there has since been over 30 BrickUniverse conventions organized across the United States. BrickUniverse's mission is to inspire creativity and learning through LEGO bricks. It is a massive immersive event attended by thousands of families at each city. Since the event's inception, Greyson has organized and managed the day-to-day operations for every BrickUniverse event across the country. The mission is clear: to change the world one brick at a time.
Always a student of history, Greyson enjoys traveling and visiting historical sites around the world. He also enjoys photography and writing. Greyson has written several internationally published articles advocating for the preservation of history and the world's historical landmarks.
